Real Wedding · Spring 2025

Halle & Timothy Broughton

April 26, 2025 · The French Farmhouse Venue

Some weddings have a theme. Halle and Timothy's had a world. From the moment guests arrived on the front lawn for cocktail hour to the last song on the dance floor, every detail of this April 26, 2025 celebration felt intentional, joyful, and completely one-of-a-kind.

Timothy is a pilot — and Halle made sure that story was woven into every corner of the day. The bar menu featured "Hers: Mile High Mule" and "His: Old Fashion Captain." The groom's cake was a jaw-dropping, to-scale SkyWest CRJ700 airplane — complete with tail number, landing gear, and a boarding pass label. The dance floor was a bold turquoise-and-white checkerboard printed with The Broughtons · 04.26.25. Even the matchboxes on the stationery flat-lay featured a tiny illustrated airplane.

The color palette — hot pink, coral, orange, yellow, and cream — was bold and unapologetic. Bridesmaids wore mismatched dresses in every shade of the rainbow. And the florals by Alba Dahlia Floral? They were the most lush, overflowing ceremony aisle we have ever seen at The French Farmhouse Venue.

The Ceremony

The ceremony was held inside The French Farmhouse chapel — and it was transformed into something extraordinary. A full floral aisle runner in shades of blush, coral, hot pink, and orange stretched from the doors all the way to the altar, where wicker pedestal urns overflowing with garden blooms flanked a vintage white rattan arch. The soaring windows and cathedral ceilings let the spring light pour in, making every petal glow.

When Halle and Timothy walked back down that aisle as husband and wife — beaming, hands raised, guests cheering — it was one of those moments that stops your breath.

Cocktail Hour on the Front Lawn

Cocktail hour spilled out onto the front lawn — a setup we absolutely love for spring weddings. Guests mingled under the oak trees while the bar served Halle's "Mile High Mule" and Timothy's "Old Fashion Captain." The whole scene felt like a garden party at a French country estate.

Dinner on the Back Turf

Dinner was served al fresco on the back turf under the pavilion. Long harvest tables were dressed in bold navy plaid and yellow linen, with cross-back chairs and towering wicker vase centerpieces overflowing with hydrangeas, peonies, dahlias, and ranunculus. The place settings were a work of art — pink chinoiserie charger plates, yellow napkins, gold flatware, and individual bud vases at every seat.

And then there was the seafood bar: served in a sky-blue canoe elevated on wooden sawhorses and surrounded by a lush floral ground arrangement, it was the most talked-about detail of the entire evening.

The Party Inside

After dinner, the party moved inside to the reception hall. The circular white bar was dressed with table lamps and coral blooms under the soaring cathedral ceiling with string lights crisscrossing above. The turquoise-and-white checkerboard dance floor with The Broughtons · 04.26.25 scripted in the center was already a showstopper before a single person stepped on it.

Then the band took it to another level. The lead singer came out in a full pilot's uniform — captain's hat and all — and the crowd absolutely lost it. Guests waved neon hats and danced until the very last song.

And the groom's cake? A fully sculpted, to-scale SkyWest CRJ700 airplane — complete with the SkyWest livery, tail number N604SK, landing gear, and a boarding pass label. Made by The Cake Lady, it was the most impressive groom's cake we have ever seen at this venue.
